01

The Work Well Learning Lab

Our learning lab offers self-guided courses, webinars, and toolkits that focus on driving impact with data, data foundations and literacy, culture design, and leadership development for 1. Non-profits, 2. Government Agencies, and 3. Funders.

02

Community-Centered Research

Research developed with communities to explore the questions, experiences, and conditions that matter to them. We bring lived experience and other forms of evidence together to inform decisions, strengthen collective action, and support communities shaping their own futures.

04

Community of Practice

This is a space to learn and reflect together. We believe that through collaboration we can make real progress in addressing historical and current barriers, power and decision-making imbalances that have long been identified as opportunity points between organizations and community.

FORSYTHE INSTITUTE FOR SOCIAL GOOD

Community Capacity Fund

We believe cost should not be a barrier to receiving the tools organizations need to strengthen their capacity to advance community wellbeing. Through investment and giving, we expand access to evaluation, strategic planning, responsible data practices, leadership development, and culture-building for community-serving organizations.

How it all started

After years of working in and with nonprofits, educational institutions, government agencies, and philanthropies, our founders, Akeish Forsythe and Mykella Auld, understood the need for accessible tools and support to help organizations committed to advancing community wellbeing.

They saw how deeply people cared about their communities and how limited funding, time, and access to supports could make it difficult to turn that commitment into lasting change.

They founded the Forsythe Institute for Social Good to expand access to education, research, shared learning, and organizational support. Building on their work through Odyssey Alliance and The Work Well Studio, the Institute brings people, knowledge, and resources together so that more organizations and communities have the support they need to shape their futures.
